Dancehall Freestyle Intensive
Are you a Dancehall dancer? Do you want to improve your freestyle but you are not sure how to do that or where to start? Then the Dancehall Freestyle Intensive is for you! During this 2-day intensive on the 8th and 9th of February 2025, we offer you a personal approach to help you develop your freestyle in Dancehall.
There will be 4 training sessions where we will work on different elements of your freestyle. They are complemented by 3 lectures and a talk with a guest speaker.
You will get the following:
- Knowledge of (Dancehall) freestyle and its different elements, from experienced freestyle dancers: Slim B, Di, and Zach Swagga.
- Personal feedback, because there are only 5 spots, which allows us to give every dancer the attention they deserve.
- Exercises and tools that you can use long after the intensive.
- A safe space to train, make mistakes, and learn.
- A group of like-minded dancers developing their own freestyle together.

Zach Swagga (Kobo Power, Belgium)
Zach Swagga started dancing at a very young age. Having grown up in a family immersed in dance and music, he was quickly drawn to dance. During the 90s, he was heavily inspired by several artists such as Koffi Olomide, Michael Jackson, and MC Hammer. Having quickly become active in the world of dance through his show "BACK TO THE ROOTS", people who saw this show had the chance to discover his influences and were able to see the cultural mix in which he grew up. He decided to found a dance group called Belgium WAKE Up and a movement Kobo Power, together with Bruce Blanchard.
Zach Swagga gained more and more experience and decided to enter the international competition called Juste Debout in which he went all the way to the final. Following this great performance, the name of Zach Swagga circulated and made noise in the dance world. Zach Swagga represented and still represents Belgium in countries all over the world including the United States, Japan, France, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Greece, Croatia, and Italy. Over the years, Zach Swagga gained experience and developed an extraordinary style that he shares through the classes and workshops he gives around the world.
Today Zach Swagga devotes himself more to the transmission of his knowledge of Hip Hop Culture to new generations and supervising dancers who want to reach the top level of freestyle dance for competitions.
Zach Swagga will be our guest speaker during the intensive where we will talk with him about his experience in dance, with an emphasis on freestyle.
